An important skill for toddlers is learning and recognizing their name. This activity helps your toddler practice this while having lots of fun.

No description available.

Supplies List:
  • Paper and/or cardboard

  • Colored markers or pens

  • Stickers

Instructions:
  1. On a piece of paper or cardboard cutout, write your child’s name in large empty block letters. As you write the letters out, say the letters aloud and make their sounds. Have your toddler repeat them back to you too.

  2. Let your toddler decorate the letters however they want! Here are some decoration ideas:

    • Coloring the letters in with different colors

    • Putting stickers in or along the lines of each letter

Be sure to hang up the final art project so your child can continue to practice saying and pointing out their name and the letters in it!

This activity helps your child develop fine motor, language, early writing, cognitive, and early math skills.
