Results and Evaluation Resources
First 5 California's Results and Evaluation Division focuses on the outcomes achieved by First 5 California strategic initiatives individually and through our partnerships with First 5 county commissions, state agencies, non-profits, and county entities. By communicating what works to prepare young children to be ready and successful for school, we hope to inform California families and leaders about best practices. Currently our work falls into three areas of interest:
- Working with local First 5 Commissions, First 5 California is developing a system-wide database to collect statewide data at the participant level to support the signature programs and statewide evaluation framework. Named PRO0F (Practice, Research, & Outcomes Zero-Five), the system will support the CARES Plus program beginning late summer of 2011. M Corp was awarded the technical aspects of the PRO0F project contract through the competitive bid process. Visit PRO0F for up-to-date information on our progress.
- The First 5 California Annual Report highlights the funding, skills, and systems used to improve Family Functioning, Child Development, Health, and Systems of Care for children 0 to 5. For information about the current Annual Report, visit Annual Report.
